Despite the Coalition’s claims that they intend to “ringfence NHS budgets” we in Surrey are starting to see cuts in our local NHS provision, starting in acute services in local hospitals. Surrey has already seen massive cuts in NHS provision in the county, such as the closure of Ashford Hospital in Spelthorne, and now we are seeing cuts at two of the county’s most important hospitals, Epsom Hospital and the Royal Surrey County in Guildford.
