Saturday 4th June saw the National Conference for the reinvigoration of the National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts; the student-led group who called a number of demonstrations last winter. The Birmingham conference was attended by activists from across the UK and Northern Ireland, including but not limited to Liverpool, Belfast, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Sheffield and Royal Holloway. Motions passed included supporting the tube strikes and backing the ‘Youth Fight for Jobs’ Jarrow march, which will see rallies across the length of the country, culminating in a main one in London.
